[edit] DOS

[edit] DEVICES SETUP

  • Go to Utilities > Sync. Service > Service (or Switch Service if Toodledo is already enabled)
  • Choose Dropbox or FTP (follow the authentication process)
  • Optionally you can enable the Encryption

[edit] FIRST SYNC

  • Use the Synchronize Now button to start the sync on your primary device
  • Use the Sync Service > Reset Sync Data from your secondary devices

[edit] NEXT SYNC

  • Use the Synchronize Now button from all devices (primary and secondary)

[edit] CONCURRENT SYNC CHECK

  • A file called "sync.locked" is uploaded to the remote folder when a device starts syncing (this prevents synchronizations from other devices while a sync is already in progress)
  • The "sync.locked" file is deleted at sync completion
  • If the sync fails then the remote folder remains locked and you have to delete the file "sync.locked" from the remote folder

[edit] DISASTER RECOVERY ACTIONS

  • Restore a backup that contains the uncorrupted data
  • Delete the sync file from your Dropbox account: /Apps/DGT-GTD/sync/GTD_SYNC.zip, or from your FTP folder

[edit] NOT YET AVAILABLE

  • Automatic sync with Dropbox/FTP is not yet available

[edit] PERFORMANCE / ENCRYPTION

  • To speed up the sync process you could set the backup destination to "sdcard" only, it doesn't make much sense to backup also to Dropbox when you start a sync with Dropbox
  • The encryption affects the performance, if you want a quicker sync execution then you should disable the encryption option
